$50 would train a new vendor and give them start-up papers and gear

$250 would train a new vendor and outfit them with wet/cold weather gear

$500 would pay for an additional print run of a printed edition

$1500 would pay the wholesale price of one edition of Megaphone for vendors to sell

$5000 would pay for a special edition, such as the Olympic Commemorative Issue, which educated vistors to the problems and the solutions in the Downtown Eastside

You can set up a monthly donation to Megaphone from as low as $5 per month




Megaphone is a magazine sold on the streets of Vancouver by homeless and low-income vendors. Vendors buy the paper for 75 cents and sell the magazine to customers for a suggested donation of $2. All money from the transaction goes into the pocket of the vendor.
